2)  Moors for the Future

 Purpose:  To protect some of our remotest countryside and rarest wildlife, whilst reducing erosion and improving access. 

 Initiative includes: Restoration of eroded moorland, research and wildlife/habitat surveying, provision of education and 'Moor Care' initiative.

 Partners:  Peak District National Park Authority, National Trust, United Utilities, Yorkshire Water, Severn Trent, Sheffield City Council, English Nature, Department for Environment Food and Rural Affairs, National Farmers Union, Country Land and Business Association, Peak Park Moorland Owners and Tenants Association.
